Volunteers Assist in Many Ways

  • Prepare a light snack or meal
  • Read to or sit with the patient
  • Engage in hobbies or games
  • Fold a load of laundry
  • Run simple errands
  • Provide short caregiver breaks
  • Rub lotion on the patient’s hands
  • Share stories or photos
  • Reminisce with patient or family
  • Provide emotional support
  • Be a smiling face

How can you help?

    Spanish Oaks Hospice was great. I cannot think of a single time that a staff member assisted us and we did not feel cared for and looked after. Our family appreciates the devotion and caring attitude of the entire staff. Thanks for making this difficult time much easier to deal with.
